Egypt’s Official Media Digital Repository
Egypt’s Official Media Digital Repository (OMDR) is considered an advanced platform for documenting, preserving, managing and making available a wide range of media releases by ministries, authorities, institutions, and assemblies, as well as digitally archiving publications and media releases issued by the State Information Service (SIS).
OMDR also seeks to achieve several strategic goals, chiefly:
- Compatibility with the sustainable development strategy (Egypt Vision 2030), the main principles of which are digital transformation, transparency, governance and anti-corruption efforts, due to their essential role in the emergence of the "new republic".
- Enable the State Information Service to exercise its media and political role in a digital environment, both internally and externally, as well as to provide an interactive service for citizens, researchers, journalists and foreign correspondents on official media output.
- Managing the state’s digital media output by preserving, classifying and making official media content available in a wide range of forms (texts, images, videos).
